How to run a great table

Everything your table needs for the day: how the first discussion runs, the questions for each video, and what else is coming up.

9:15–10:00 AM Right after video 1

Your table time

Pick one person to keep time.
Pick one person to make sure everyone speaks.

Introductions — everyone speaks (see below: introductions)

Discussion — the video 1 questions

Wrap up — one takeaway each

Introductions First 10 minutes

Go around the table. Each person says:

  1. Your name and your business
  2. Why you started it
  3. One problem on your desk right now

60–75 seconds each — there are 8 of you, so keep it tight. Do not skip anyone.

All day, every table

6 rules that make it work

  1. Everyone talks. If someone has not spoken, ask them.
  2. Keep it short. About a minute, then pass.
  3. No selling. Ask a question instead of pitching.
  4. Be real. Share the hard part, not the highlight reel.
  5. What is said here stays here.
  6. Phones down. One person speaks at a time.

If the talk stops

  • “Tell me more about that.”
  • “What have you already tried?”
  • “Has anyone else dealt with this?”

Introductions first, then these.

“How can you make sure you are building God’s kingdom more than your own?”

“Are we building so God will bless what we build, or so God can use what we build? Which one has been driving you this year?”

Then pick two or three of these.

  • Build for more What are you building right now — and why?
  • Ambition How do you pursue excellence without making achievement your identity?
  • Courage Where do you need courage to take a faith-driven risk?
  • Surrender What is hardest to surrender: control, money, reputation, growth or timing?

More questions if you need them

  • What stood out to you most from the video?
  • When can ambition become unhealthy? What is a faith-driven risk versus a reckless one?
  • What decision do you need to make that requires trust in God?
  • How can this group pray for you?

After video 2

Quiet reflection.

“Have you picked a number? What would picking one change in your life?”

“What would it look like for your church to become a hub for Kingdom-minded entrepreneurs?”

Quiet (listen to God, take notes)

With the person on each side

Telling the table what you learned about the person on your right

Other moments in the day

Speed networking. Find someone you have not met. Bring your 30-second pitch.

Lunch game: 60 seconds to build a tagline as a table. Speed decides how soon you eat.

Before 1:45 PM

Fill in the feedback form — needed before the prize draw.

1:45 PM

At the end of the day

  1. What is the most important insight you are taking with you?
  2. What do you need to do with it — dig deeper, share it with someone?
  3. What is the first step you can take by the end of next week?

Applause builds empires. Humble ambition builds the kingdom.
